The Nsukka Professional Association is an association of indigenes of Nsukka Cultural Zone comprising Nsukka Local Govt., Uzo-Uwani Local Govt., Igbo Etiti Local Govt., Igbo Eze North Local Govt., Igbo Nze North Local Govt., Igbo Eze South Local Govt., and Udenu Local Govt.
The Association is non-political, and its members are engaged in different professional careers.
The aims and objectives of the Association are as follows:
- To bring together all indigenes of Nuskka Cultural Zone engaged in various professional activities spanning from academic to business and crafts under one umbrella for mutual co-operation.
- To champion development activities aimed at ensuring that Nsukka Zone competes with other Zones within and outside Enugu state in areas of infrastructures, education, cultural and socio-political integration.
- To mentor the young generation of Nsukka people on the need to imbibe hard work, professionalism, industry and general excellence as a way of life.
- To serve as a pressure group in ensuring that both the state and Federal Government accord the Zone its due rights and privileges, opportunities, dividends of democracy and developmental programs.
- To engage in charitable projects to improve the lots of the less privileged in our zone in particular and the country generally.
- To engage in youth empowerment and employment.
The Association has since its formation initiated and executed programs and projects aimed at realizing the aims and objectives. Some of such projects include seminars and symposia held both at Nsukka and in Lagos where economic and political development topics were discussed by resource persons.
